  • Episode 07.10 // featuring David Cordero & CoH & Wladimir Schall

In this program, we'll be representing two very experiential expressions of ambient music with our two featured artists. Spanish ambient artist David Cordero illuminates the first half of the program with his meditatively slow blooms of warm sound from his new release "Numen", and the dynamic duo that is CoH and Wladimir Schall take us to deeply experimental territory with their amalgamation of neoclassical music and avant-garde sound design with their homage to Erik Satie and John Everall from their album "COVERS".

  • Episode 07.09 // featuring Neighborhood Libraries & Mosaicist

In this program, both of my featured artists have captivating, tranquil albums that are calming through and through. My first featured artist is Taylor Swindells of Neighborhood Libraries — who is no stranger to the program — he treats us to an entrancing and serene listening experience with his new album "In Our Wake"; and later in the program making his WhiteLabRecs debut, Adrian Newton of the ambient project Mosaicist has a new album that quite masterfully captures that feeling of sitting amidst a foggy landscape and watching the long, slow reveal.

  • Episode 07.08 // featuring s28 & Wilson Trouvé

In this program, my two featured artists both bring us to unique spaces for reflection, to stop and savor this moment. My first featured artist is s28, who is going to take us on a trek through the thin-aired alpine range with his breath-taking new album "The Plains Behind Us"; and later in the program French composer Wilson Trouvé has a heart-warming five song EP perfect for a moment to put life on pause.

  • Episode 07.07 // featuring Rafael Anton Irisarri & KMRU

In this program I will be showcasing two deeply contemplative releases that reward the concentrated and devoted listener with ever-unfolding layers of mystique and texture-rich beauty. First up, Rafael Anton Irisarri has a new album born out of improvisational sessions in a former Dutch psychiatric prison, reflecting on our supposedly connected digital age; and later in the program Nairobi-born electronic artist and sound designer KMRU is back with his second release on the electronic music label Editions Mego sporting an album that explores a more noisier palette of sound in homage to the distorted guitar playing of his more formative years.

  • Episode 07.06 // featuring Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith & Stray Theories

In this program I have two absolutely spell-binding releases that we'll be showcasing on the program that you simply cannot pass up. First up is Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith hot on the heels of her acclaimed album "Gush" from Nettwerk Music Group, an EP that is by stark contrast a contemplative space for you to be immersed in amazing layers of analog synthesis and a re-imagination of chamber music personified in her work; and later in the program New Zealand-based artist Stray Theories takes us for an epic ride with his transcendent amalgamation of ambient, neoclassical, and post-rock influences — an album that straddles opposing dichotomies in his massive vistas of sound, released through n5md Records.

  • Episode 07.05 // featuring Silence & The Unwinking Minds & Ed Herbers

In this episode of The Relay Station, there are two albums that are essential listens, each with their own unique approach to textured layers, wide vistas of sound, and intriguing sonic spaces for reflection. My first featured artist is the incomparable Silence and the Unwinking Minds with new music from their album Emulsion — an ambient experience that's made my essentials list; and later on in the program Ed Herbers with the first in a series of four ambient albums exploring the four seasons — a fantastic listening experience with his gorgeous and innovative approach to ambient music composition.

  • Episode 07.04 // featuring Atmøsphäre + Dionisaf & Paperbark

In this program I've got some texture-rich ambient albums that we'll be highlighting on the program. My first featured artists are Atmøsphäre and Dionisaf that have come together to collaborate on an album that is a fantastic soundtrack for these cold, dark, wintry months, a collab out now on Chitra Records; and later in the program Minneapolis-based ambient artist Paperbark pulls out all the stops and illuminates our listening session with his bright and dreamy texture-rich album available in both CD and vinyl on Laaps Records. Plus up ahead, new music from Marco Lucchi, Franco Robert, Jack Quinn, William Thomson and more. Strap in and make yourself comfortable, join us for the next hour for global ambient music, on The Relay Station.

  • Episode 07.03 // featuring Robert Rich with Barry Cleveland & Markus Reuter

In this program we'll be celebrating Robert Rich and two of his recent transcendent collaborations, demonstrating the prolific nature and vast spectrum of Robert's ability to dive head-first into the creative space with other artists. The first collab we'll be featuring is with Barry Cleveland, taking us through an enrapturing musical journey made up of a complexly woven tapestry of sonic ideas that ranges from the quiet and contemplative to dramatic and near-cataclysmic spaces. Then later on in the program we will drop in on the incubative space that Robert created with musician and composer Markus Reuter — with an album that is contemplative, at times near unsettling, and an alchemic journey through the blending of two minds and two lived experiences. Plus up ahead, new music from Andrew Lozano, Christian Alsemgeest and Metric System 1981, Beyond Sensory Experience and more. Strap in and make yourself comfortable, join us for the next hour for global ambient music, on The Relay Station.

  • Episode 07.02 // featuring Alanna Crouch & Chris Wood + Albert Sapsford

In this program I’ve got two vastly different, but emotive tracks that I think you’re going to absolutely love. Eighteen-year-old pianist and composer Alanna Crouch has a moving four-song EP that is somber, delicately ornate, and unconditionally gorgeous. And the duo Chris Wood and Albert Sapsford have a new album out that is quite imaginative, deeply experimental, and sets a liminal atmosphere for the imagination. Plus up ahead, new music from Atmøsphäre & Dionisaf, BinJa, Adrian Lane, Ambiente Solstice, and more. Strap in and make yourself comfortable, join us for the next hour for global ambient music, on The Relay Station.

  • Episode 07.01 // featuring Sebby Kowal & Treman + François de Liège

Welcome to an all new season of The Relay Station. In this program we’ll be taking a look at new releases from Sebby Kowal and his new album 'A Brand New Day' and Tremen & François de Liége’s pensive new release “Shimmer” that is an absolute treat for the ears. Plus up ahead, new music from Shedir, Ghostloop, Hollie Kenniff and Goldmund, Six Missing and more. Strap in and make yourself comfortable, join us for the next hour for global ambient music, on The Relay Station.
